Biologics Assistant (Distribution) - $19.50

Position Schedule

This is a part-time position that will work 700 PM - 1200 AM Monday - Friday. Schedule flexibility is required.

Training Schedule

Candidate must be available to attend training Monday - Friday 800am to 430pm for a period of 2-3 weeks. Training may be conducted at the Orlando or St. Petersburg locations. (Based upon when hours are worked positions may include a shift and weekend differential of $1.50 - $4.50 per hour.)

Essential Functions

• Ensures suitability and accurate labeling of products for release and distribution
• Performs data entry associated with component production, labeling, storage and shipping ensuring accurate and complete manufacturing records
• Makes, stores and distributes blood and blood products
• Operates, maintains and performs quality control checks on equipment
• Performs quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products and/or samples and performs quality control on blood products
• Ensures adequate inventory of required supplies
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers and vendors
• May operate a OneBlood courier vehicle when applicable.

• Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
• Ability to speak, write, read and understand English
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Skill in operating office equipment and technology
• Ability to report to work during a disaster, public health emergency or other catastrophic event.

• Tasks involve the performance of moderately physically demanding work for extended periods of time, involving standing, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds).
• Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment.
• Tasks may involve some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

• Functions are regularly performed inside and/or outside with potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances.
• Performance of this job could expose the employee to blood-borne pathogens and freezers at below-freezing temperatures (-30F/-35C).
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
