Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret genomic, transcriptomic, and single-cell sequencing datasets.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and analytical workflows.
  • Partner with scientists and researchers to design studies, troubleshoot experiments, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Support assay development, validation, and implementation through computational analysis and data interpretation.
  • Evaluate data quality, identify technical issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Create clear visualizations, reports, and presentations to communicate scientific findings.
  • Maintain well-documented, reproducible workflows and analytical processes.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality.

Qualifications

  • One of the following is required:
  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, or related field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience;
  • Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience;
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant bioinformatics experience;
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Experience analyzing DNA and RNA sequencing data;
  • Experience with single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis;
  • Strong understanding of genomics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics principles;
  • Proficiency in R and/or Python;
  • Experience working in Linux-based computing environments;
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with 10x Genomics workflows;
  • Experience working with multiomics datasets;
  • Knowledge of assay development, molecular diagnostics, or translational research;
  • Experience with workflow automation, cloud computing, or high-performance computing environments;
  • Experience with C++ or Java is a plus.
