Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret genomic, transcriptomic, and single-cell sequencing datasets.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and analytical workflows.
- Partner with scientists and researchers to design studies, troubleshoot experiments, and support data-driven decision making.
- Support assay development, validation, and implementation through computational analysis and data interpretation.
- Evaluate data quality, identify technical issues, and recommend solutions.
- Create clear visualizations, reports, and presentations to communicate scientific findings.
- Maintain well-documented, reproducible workflows and analytical processes.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
Qualifications
- One of the following is required:
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, or related field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience;
- Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience;
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant bioinformatics experience;
- Required Technical Skills:
- Experience analyzing DNA and RNA sequencing data;
- Experience with single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis;
- Strong understanding of genomics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics principles;
- Proficiency in R and/or Python;
- Experience working in Linux-based computing environments;
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 10x Genomics workflows;
- Experience working with multiomics datasets;
- Knowledge of assay development, molecular diagnostics, or translational research;
- Experience with workflow automation, cloud computing, or high-performance computing environments;
- Experience with C++ or Java is a plus.
