About the role

This position is for a Bioinformatics Co-op working closely with scientists to analyze large-scale biological datasets supporting drug discovery programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze single-nucleus RNA-seq and cell datasets to characterize disease-relevant cell populations
• Support genomics analyses for target validation
• Develop and run computational pipelines using tools like Nextflow or Snakemake
• Apply statistical and machine learning methods to identify data patterns
• Integrate data from various databases
• Create visualizations to communicate findings
• Document methods for reproducibility

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s program in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related fields
• Proficient in Python or R
• Familiar with genomics data types and workflow tools

Pay

Compensation ranges from $25-$35/hour.
