Biochemist I - Entry Level

About the role

The Biochemist I - Entry Level position is located in San Diego, CA and is a 12-month contract role with 40 hours per week on a first shift.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to perform all laboratory multitask functions involving Conjugation.
• Directly assist the immediate supervisor with daily laboratory operations.
• Solve problems and complete single and multiple step conjugations with high quality and yield within deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively in a team setting to maintain conjugation productivity.
• Accurately perform different conjugation formats, understand the underlying techniques, theories, and background.
• Ensure consistency in technique, documentation, data entry, labeling, aliquoting, QC samples, equipment operation, and meeting production specifications.
• Review and address issues during batch records and other documents to minimize business impact.
• Adhere to departmental guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain a safe work environment by promoting safety, participating in Environmental Health & Safety programs, and reporting hazards.
• Follow supervisor's instructions and perform assigned duties, including lab supply orders, reagent preparations, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• General knowledge of biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines.
• Familiarity with operating routine laboratory instruments and applicable software.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a biological/chemistry science discipline.
