Bioassay Scientist - Sr. Scientist

About the Role

Eurofins BPT-Columbia is seeking a Sr. Scientist to join our team in Columbia, Missouri. This role focuses on testing Drug Substances and Drug Products within the Biotech department, with a strong emphasis on method establishment and validations under cGMP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and perform simple and complex experiments in compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., DEA, EPA, FDA, FIFRA, OECD) and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Establish and validate methods, including multiplex ELISAs using electrochemiluminescence (ECL) platforms
• Analyze data using software such as Molecular Devices Softmax Pro and communicate results effectively
• Train and mentor junior staff upon completion of method establishment and validation
• Proficiently utilize laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
• Manage resources (equipment, facilities, personnel) to deliver timely, scientifically sound results for clients
• Adhere to project schedules and establish routines to ensure on-time delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology with 5+ years of cGMP laboratory experience
• OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of cGMP laboratory experience
• OR PhD with 1+ year of cGMP laboratory experience
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a CRO/CDMO adhering to cGMP regulations
• Industrial experience with method establishment and cGMP validations
• Strong problem-solving, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills

Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
