Bio-Medical R&D Engineer

Position : Biomedical R&D Engineer Location : Andover, MA Duration : 10 + months contract Start Time : 8:00 AM End Time : 5:00 PM pay rate-$20-25/hr Total Hours/week : 42.50[Mon-Fri] Qualifications Experience & Education: B.S. in Engineering (BME, ME Preferred) A minimum of 1 year experience working in an engineering lab Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Familiarity interdisciplinary systems, including electromechanical and electronic systems Familiarity with Solid Works, Lab VIEW, Mat lab and Minitab is a plus. Proficiency in soldering small components and the use of tools like Millimeter, Oscilloscope, power supply etc. a€‹is desirable An understanding of PC based tools for testing embedded hardware is desirable Responsibilities The engineer will work with a cross-functional team that develops medical devices. This position is characterized by its disciplined quantitative approach to engineering (mechanical and electrical) testing. Development and execution of testing protocols: Support exploratory testing to define test equipment, test fixtures, and test methods development; Participate in training, test methods validation, and execution of testing as needed Effective Documentation and communication of test results: Write engineering test reports and route them for approval in DHF. Design of experiments activities, including for characterization, prototype testing, failure analysis and qualification. Support the deployment and evaluation of integrated systems in pre-clinical and clinical studies
