Bio Med Repair Tech

The Role

The Facility CoxHealth National Building is located at 3660 S National Ave, Springfield, Missouri, United States of America, 65807. This position is part of the Dialysis Admin department and works a rotating schedule from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the operational condition, maintenance, and repair of clinical equipment.
• Document repairs and perform safety checks and preventive measures.
• Eligible for on-call rotation after six months of employment.

Requirements

• Required: Associate’s Degree in a related field OR completion of Military Biomedical training program OR 1 year Biomedical equipment maintenance experience with a minimum of two manufacturer-level service seminars completed.
• Prioritized: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Technology.
• Prioritized: Experience in a clinical or technical field.
• Prioritized: Experience working with clinical equipment.

Skills

• Use of common hand tools.
• Use of PC and basic data entry skills.
• Ability to utilize manufacturer’s service and operators manuals and other documentation.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair basic electronic and electromechanical equipment.
• Self-directed, strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to reason logically and critically.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with the highest degree of integrity and discretion.
• Strong organizational skills including effective time management and ability to set/reset priorities accordingly and handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas clearly both orally and in writing to hospital staff, vendors, patients and patient’s families.
• Exceptional customer relation skills.
