Bindery, Digital and Finishing Specialist/ Operator

We are looking for a high energy, positive attitude person with integrity and a strong work ethic to join our team as a Bindery and Finishing Specialist who must be expert running and maintain Duplo bookmaker and running digital presses preferably Xerox. This Specialist will work under the direction of the Bindery or Center Manager in a digital print/bindery production environment, providing a high-quality finished product that matches order specifications and meets deadlines. Daily Duties And Responsibilities Attends daily production meetings Schedules jobs Able to excel efficiently and effectively in a fast paced environmentChecks due dates for all orders Informs Production Manager of any due date problemsEnsures order accuracyTests cut on a sample before cutting entire jobCompletes Quality Assurance for each jobChecks orders for quality and completeness before packaging and returning to customersOrder Bindery supplies needed Operates equipment safely and in accordance with equipment instructionsCleans and organizes bindery area throughout the dayNotifies Owner/General Manager of equipment needing serviceMust conduct themselves in a professional manner at all timesMust have positive, can-do attitude with willingness to find solutions for projects Ongoing (as needed) Restocks bindery departmentAttends weekly redo meetings to go over procedure and policiesAccurately counts bindery inventory on the last day of the monthRun digital presses in shift or as backup. We have Xerox presses.Maintains cleanliness under equipment and cartsHelps train employees on bindery equipmentAssists other departments/completes special jobs as required Knowledge And Skill Requirements 6+ years prior bindery experience expected.Expert running Duplo or equivalent book maker and several other bindery equipment.
