BIM Technician IV

Job Responsibilities

• Draft, convert, produce, and edit plans for drawings and other CAD/BIM generated products.
• Draft/generate redlines for plans, diagrams, and schedule drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit from redlined drawings.
• Provide design assistance and calculations to Designers and Engineers.
• Produce drawings/projects consistent with instruction, guidelines, and CAD/BIM standards.
• Modify Architectural CAD/BIM files for use in MEP design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting).
• Review BIM models for coordination using Revit and Navisworks.
• Support the BIM manager in setting up Revit templates, family creation, and staff support.
• Prepare projects for client submissions.
• Aid in the management of Revit files and projects.

Job Requirements

• Effective organizational skills.
• The ability to prioritize workload.
• Strong communication skills.
• Associate's degree or completion of trade school or equivalent formal training.
• 7 to 10 years of working experience with an MEP firm in a CAD/BIM role.
• Knowledge of drawings to understand red marks.
• Possession of basic drafting skills.
• Experience with manipulating and receiving various file formats.
• Able to work necessary hours to meet project deadlines.
• Familiarity with at least one: Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing trades.
• Experience with the MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Reader.
