BIM Technician 2

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
• Model Coordination: Integrating design information from various disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) into the 3D model.
• Clash Detection: Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts or clashes between different building components using clash detection tools
• Construction Documentation: Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations from the 3D model to support construction planning and execution.
• Maintaining and Updating Models: Ensuring the BIM model remains current with design changes and project updates.
• Collaboration: Working closely with VDC project managers, engineers, supervisors, and construction project managers to ensure alignment between digital designs and on-site realities.
• Supporting Project Teams: Providing 3D visualizations, clash reports, and other information to aid decision-making and project execution.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC and Navisworks.
• Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models.
• Sound understanding of electrical construction methods and terminology, building codes, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to create/modify basic Revit families.
• Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
