About the role
ETS-Lindgren designs and manufactures test systems that ensure electronics work harmoniously in electromagnetic, magnetic, or acoustic environments. As a BIM Revit Modeler, you will help build a smarter, more connected future by virtually designing and modeling RF shielded enclosures for architectural, electrical, and mechanical construction documents.
Responsibilities
- Extensive use of Revit and AutoCAD to create architectural, electrical, and mechanical construction documents with structural detailing.
- Prepare shop drawings and Bills of Materials in an MRP system.
- Interface with customers, general contractors, project management, and architects on domestic and international projects.
- Apply knowledge of building codes, space and site requirements, and technical documents to determine their effect on architectural designs.
- Draw rough and detailed scaled plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, and specification sheets.
- Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, including visiting job sites to document existing conditions.
- Ensure installation compliance with design specifications and provide guidance on design changes.
- Work in various construction environments, including commercial, government, industrial, and healthcare-related projects.
- Read and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
Requirements
- AA degree in CAD, BIM Technology, or 3 years of BIM modeling experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in an Industrial Architecture design/build firm using CAD and Revit, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with building codes, space and site requirements, and technical documents.
- Experience drawing scaled plans for foundations, buildings, and structures.
- Ability to obtain and assemble data for architectural designs, including site visits.
- Working knowledge of dimensioning and tolerance principles.
- Solid organizational and communication skills (Outlook, Skype, phone, etc.).
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Structural Steel detailing experience.
Pay
Base salary range: $50,000 - $65,000 USD annually.
