Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive BIM program for OGS’s Design and Construction Group.
- Manage and maintain BIM content libraries and templates, including client-specific content and point cloud data.
- Lead and facilitate project-specific BIM kickoff and/or coordination meetings to set expectations, discuss project updates, and resolve potential issues.
- Evaluate fees and hours for BIM modeling, coordination, rendering, etc. in consultant proposals.
- Conduct regular audits of BIM models to check for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Provide training and ongoing support on BIM processes and software usage.
- Research new BIM-related software and best practices to identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Write scripts or automation to streamline BIM processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction-related field and five to seven years of relevant experience, including two years of leadership experience.
- Proficiency in Building Information Management (BIM) software applications, including AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Navisworks, as well as major Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- A thorough understanding of BIM processes and workflows for design, construction, and operations/maintenance phases, including: Modeling, template, and family generation, BIM Execution Plans, Clash detection and resolution best practices, Asset management.
- Knowledge of industry standards, such as BIM Forum’s Level of Design specification.
- Strong understanding with Revit families, parameters, schedules & model linking.
- Proven ability to execute model coordination across large, multi-disciplinary projects with multiple models.
- Familiarity with 3D scanning and/or photogrammetry hardware and software.
- Familiarity with contracting conventions in the design and construction industry.
- Ability to learn and adapt to the unique procurement, contracting, and project management processes of a government organization.
- Ability to lead initiatives, manage multiple resources, motivate teams, and strategically align BIM with agency goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts quickly, clearly, and concisely for a variety of audiences.
Pay
Minimum: $90,000yr. Max: $110,000 yr.
