BIM Detailer

About the role

As a BIM Detailer at Granger Construction, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing projects to life through digital modeling and coordination. You’ll spend most of your time building and refining BIM models for mechanical and electrical systems while supporting coordination efforts across project teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain high-quality BIM models for MEP systems
• Support clash detection and coordination workflows across project teams
• Produce construction documents and model-based drawings
• Generate schedules, quantities, and other model-driven data
• Assist with design development and project collaboration
• Troubleshoot modeling challenges and identify solutions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM processes and tools

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of construction, building systems, or MEP disciplines
• Experience or exposure to BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Internship or hands-on BIM modeling experience
• Exposure to construction coordination or clash detection
• Interest in growing into VDC, coordination, or leadership roles
• Curiosity around new technology and digital construction tools

Skills

• Strong foundation in construction, building systems, or MEP disciplines
• Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar
• Attention to detail and quality assurance
• Effective communication and collaboration
