BIM Designer
About the role
As a BIM Designer, you transform contract documents, field input, and project requirements into precise piping models, spool drawings, and fabrication-ready information for commercial mechanical and plumbing systems. You work closely with BIM coordinators, project managers, the prefab shop, field leadership, and other trades to ensure work is constructible, well-coordinated, and delivered on schedule. This role is based in an office and fabrication shop environment, working closely with project teams and prefab operations. You will use technologies such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related BIM and construction tools on a daily basis to support coordination and production. You will collaborate regularly with field leadership and trade partners to support active construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D models for commercial mechanical and plumbing piping systems using Revit and related BIM tools.
- Create clear spool sheets, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings that support efficient shop production and field installation.
