BIM Coordinator - Refrigeration

About the role

Egan Company is seeking qualified candidates for a BIM Coordinator - Refrigeration position with our Mechanical team located in Champlin, MN. The BIM Coordinator role is to oversee model management tasks for Virtual Design & Construction Projects. Coordination, Install drawing production, & Fabrication Spool Production.

Responsibilities

• Set-Up of BIM Coordinated Models Utilizing Egan Templates.
• Coordination & Modeling of Mechanical Refrigeration Systems. Including all Information.
• Required to Provide a Complete & Functional Virtual Installation of the Project.
• Creation of Field Installation Drawings & Fabrication Spool Drawings.
• Collaborate with other Internal and External BIM Coordinators.
• Review of Project Drawings, Specifications, Submittals, etc.… in order to Provide a Complete and Coordinated Project VDC Model.
• Ability to Find Issues During BIM Coordination Process and Assist in RFI Requests to Eliminate Field Issues.
• Secondary Role: Maintain and Enhance Egan’s Refrigeration CAD Infrastructure, which includes:
  • File and folder organization
  • Customized support files
  • Model content and templates
  • Communication with Other Office Staff (Project Managers & Coordinators)
  • Communication with Field Foreman

• Two Year Technical Degree in CAD or Related Field.
• Minimum of 5 years of Experience in Mechanical Industry.
