PM Group is seeking a BIM Administrator / Model Manager to join our growing Philadelphia-area team in Conshohocken, PA. This role supports cutting-edge projects for pharmaceutical, biologics, and cell & gene therapy manufacturing facilities—from feasibility through qualification—for both local and international clients. About the role

This position focuses on the technical aspects of BIM administration and model management across all design phases: feasibility studies, conceptual and schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration. You will provide BIM support, project setup, maintenance, and federation in a live, multi-discipline, multi-location environment. Project sizes vary, primarily within the life sciences industry, involving both existing building improvements and new construction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the BIM Execution Plan.
  • Provide BIM project setup, support, and administration for multi-discipline projects across multiple application platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, etc.) and offices.
  • Create outputs from discipline models (drawings, schedules, renders, etc.).
  • Set up template drawings and models accurately, structuring them for final issue.
  • Discuss and resolve coordination issues with designers and engineers.
  • Undertake tasks arising from Clash Management activities, including assigning clashes, supporting 3D coordination meetings, and reporting clash detection.
  • Work with piping software packages such as Plant 3D.
  • Assess tasks arising from model federation.
  • Assist in setting up the BIM project environment.
  • Manage time effectively to meet defined timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Production-manage, control, and assure on-time delivery of drawings and models.
  • Develop discipline models in line with company and client requirements.
  • Assist in transitioning historic files from 2D to 3D models and migrating files to BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Ensure self-work within the department is accurate and diligently planned.
  • Check data inputs from sub-consultants, sub-contractors, and internal teams, resolving difficulties with data providers.
  • Comply with in-house and client design procedures, security protocols, and company EHS, QA/QC policies.
  • Assist in auditing submitted files from the team and other vendors/owners.
  • Adopt appropriate model and drawing standards to suit project requirements.
  • Contribute to BIM coordination meetings as needed.
  • Collaborate with the team to clarify the scope of deliverables.
  • Ensure effective, professional, and appropriate communication with design engineers and the BIM team.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the full multi-disciplinary BIM design team.
  • Assist with internal training of employees and onboarding project participants regarding BIM.
  • Support the implementation of 3D tools and introduction of new technologies.
  • Ensure continual improvement of the integrated management system, evaluating new and future technologies.
  • Support written technology evaluations for future adoption aligned with project goals.
  • Provide the BIM Manager with weekly updates to align with the project schedule.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of administration and setup experience working with Revit (required).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM360/ACC, and NavisWorks.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience with P&IDs, piping applications (CADWorx, Plant 3D).
  • Experience leading BIM and 3D coordination in a multi-discipline team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time successfully to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a commitment to continued professional development related to BIM software and processes.
  • Ability to assist with the training of others.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Dynamo experience is desirable.
  • Experience with other BIM software is desirable.
