Responsibilities
- Coincide daily billing operations and invoice generation; ensure cut-off discipline and completeness.
- Assign, monitor, and review work completed by Billing Clerks/Specialists; support staffing coverage, training, coaching, and quality reviews.
- Review support documentation, including purchase orders, delivery/shipment confirmations, pricing/terms, and exception approvals.
- Manage billing exceptions, pricing/terms discrepancies, and invoice corrections; coordinate resolution with sales, operations, customer service, and customers as needed.
- Maintain billing SOPs, checklists, and control evidence for SOX/ICFR-relevant billing controls.
- Provide billing metrics and root-cause analysis for invoice errors, disputes, rework, and recurring process issues.
- Participate in month-end cut-off activities, reporting, and escalation of unresolved billing issues to the Billing Manager.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor degree preferred; equivalent relevant billing, accounts receivable, or order-to-cash experience acceptable.
- 3-5+ years of billing/invoicing or accounts receivable operations experience preferred.
- Prior lead, senior specialist, supervisor, training, or people-leadership experience preferred.
- ERP billing module proficiency, strong attention to detail, and ability to review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
