This position is responsible for preparing Substance Use Disorder (SUD) claims for submission and for managing the 60+ days AR for all types of unpaid Medicaid/KanCare claims by reviewing and submitting corrected claims for payment and other activities relating to ELC receiving Medicaid/KanCare revenues in a timely manner. This position reports directly to the Operations Director.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing a working knowledge of the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) payer sources including authorization processes, claims submission, claim correction and payment requirements; will review SUD program claims weekly for accuracy prior to initial submission assuring correct payer, CPT code, units, authorization, etc. and will work with staff to resolve problem claims
