Responsibilities

  • Execute Targeted Denial Diagnostics: Systematically review and resolve specialized billing holds and complex claim denials to accelerate revenue recovery and minimize aging accounts receivable.
  • Drive Report-Driven Claim Resolution: Analyze high-priority billing reports to strategically target, investigate, and correct bottlenecked claims daily.
  • Advance Clean Claim Metrics: Review submitted claims against strict payer criteria to identify omissions, correct billing errors, and prevent recurring rejections at the source.
  • Navigate Complex Payer Portals: Interface directly with insurance clearinghouses and payer networks to track claim progress and overturn adjudication errors.
  • Collaborate in an Onsite Clinical Environment: Work closely with local administrative and clinical teams to resolve documentation gaps that cause front-end claim holds.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Qualifications

  • Proven Denial Management Acumen: Direct experience identifying, appealing, and resolving insurance claim holds and denials.
  • Insurance Landscape Knowledge: Solid foundational understanding of commercial and government payer guidelines, coordination of benefits, and billing codes.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: The ability to work from structured reports, prioritize a high-volume workload, and focus on high-impact claims.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong professional communication skills to effectively collaborate with onsite colleagues and insurance representatives.
  • Technical Agility: Proficiency in navigating billing software, clearinghouses, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
