Billing Representative

About the Opportunity: The Billing Representative plays a critical role in managing medical billing processes to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement of claims. This position supports the organization by maintaining billing accuracy, educating internal partners, and resolving billing issues, directly impacting financial operations and patient care services. 3. Responsibilities: Manage medical billing and collection processesEnsure timely billing of medical claims for appropriate reimbursementFollow up on claims billed to insurance companiesEducate internal partners on billing requirements to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO)Maintain data accuracy and integrity through self-auditing and timely reportingResearch and resolve billing problems in a high-volume environment 4. Requirements: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceAt least 18 years of ageProficient with Windows PC applications and able to navigate multiple programsAbility to understand multiple products and benefit levelsFlexibility to work full-time, Monday through Friday, during business hours (7:00 am to 4:00 pm PST), with occasional overtime as needed Preferred: One year or more of experience in office, administrative, clerical, or customer service rolesExperience with billing or collections Telecommuting Requirements: Secure handling of company sensitive documentsDedicated private work area for information privacyAccess to approved high-speed internet connection Soft Skills: Adaptability to support innovation and changing environmentsAbility to influence others without direct authorityStrong customer and consultant collaboration skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionEffective time management to meet stakeholder and business needs 5.
