About the role

Frye Regional Medical Center is a 355-bed acute care hospital and behavioral health facility in North Carolina. The organization employs over 1500 professional and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to align with departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Aids in developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives that support the organization’s strategic plan and vision.
  • Manages staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict resolution.
  • Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagement.
  • Maintains departmental budgets, ensures regulatory compliance, manages departmental contracts, and oversees vendor relations.
  • Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
  • Cultivates an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Safeguards the department’s focus on its role in the continuum of care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
  • Applicable work experience may be substituted for education.
