Billing Clerk - 3rd Shift

The Billing Clerk is responsible for compiling amounts owed from purchase orders, charge slips, and sales tickets, preparing accurate invoices, and recording financial transactions. This role ensures shipments are properly loaded and orders are ready for next-day billing, while maintaining accurate and organized payment records.
What You’ll Do
- Inputs data into the computer system, generates invoices, and prepares freight payable documents.
- Enters product shipment data into the system.
- Bills and documents shipments, preparing bills of lading and export documents.

Education and Technical Skills
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, and experience using a 10-key adding machine is preferred.
Communication and Attention to Detail
- Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Team Collaboration
- Ability to work collaboratively while being respectful, approachable, and team-oriented, contributing to a positive work environment.
Other Skills That Make You Stand Out
- Two years' previous billing experience, a plus.
- SAP experience, preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant.
- The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
- Frequently required to sit, use hands to handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision includes close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and repetitive hand movements.
