Responsibilities

  • Collect, audit, and input billing data for submission to all Michigan Medicaid payors.
  • Communicate with Billing Specialist as representative for Electronic Medical Records system to resolve billing-related issues stemming from software.
  • Assist billing specialist in working with Michigan Medicaid to address rejections/appeals, authorizations, and contracts.
  • Maintain working knowledge of several different Community Mental Health provider billing policies and procedures.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate billing issues with LOGAN leadership.
  • Support general office duties and responsibilities, filing, and tracking billing needs.
  • Monitor for billing overlaps and errors, and communicate with providers.
  • Post payments from CMH.
  • Support connections and scheduling in Central Reach for clients and providers.
  • Support and complete corrective claim forms.
  • Submit paper bills for secondary CMH billing requirements.
  • Willingness to learn and support the Billing Specialist in various client billing needs.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, professionalism, and respect for employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (minimum).
  • Experience in health care or a related field preferred.
