About the role

As a Fiscal Assistant, you will support the fiscal department by managing billing for designated behavioral health programs and assisting in the preparation of financial reports that inform strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Work 40 hours per week, 52 weeks a year (some evenings as needed)
  • Collaborate across departments and communicate regularly with program staff to understand needs and priorities
  • Represent the agency professionally while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
  • Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and public-relations activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support program and agency operations
  • Process billing tasks accurately and in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Communicate effectively with management, staff, and outside agencies or partners through written, phone, email, or mail when necessary
  • Interact professionally and respectfully with management, staff, outside agencies, or partners
  • Collaborate regularly with other fiscal staff to assess workload and other departmental needs
  • Comply with all fiscal policies, procedures, any contractual or agreement language per funder, applicable regulations, and federal/state laws
  • Attend in-house and out-of-house trainings and webinars to stay updated on changing rules and regulations
  • Represent the agency in a highly professional manner
  • Assist with special projects, organize workload efficiently, and provide regular updates to your supervisor

Requirements

  • Associate or Business Degree
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Proficient typing and filing skills
  • Good basic background in math or accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Must be willing to obtain additional training when required
  • Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
