Billet Packing Technician-1st Shift

Position Overview

This position is a key role in our manufacturing production facility. This is a first shift role with normal working hours between 7AM to 3:30PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety regulations as stated in the OST Safety Manual
• Proficiently use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Assembly of etch-cleaned parts in a clean room environment
• Assist in the development and revision of billet packing procedures as needed
• Maintain well-organized manufacturing paperwork
• Support and help improve our Lean manufacturing practices
• Work comfortably as part of a team on some tasks, and work comfortably with minimal supervision at other times
• Need to be capable of lifting 50 pounds
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Working overtime as the production schedule requires
• Able to follow packing diagrams
• Cross-training as required per business needs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Must have basic math and computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
• Ability to communicate, read, and write in English
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and calibrated equipment
• Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must have US Citizenship or Permanent Residency. Sponsorship is not available for this position

• Estimated hourly range: $18.00/hr – $25.00/hr
