Responsibilities
- Perform all work in alignment with NYAP’s mission, values, and philosophies
- Build trusting, supportive relationships with youth to help them achieve identified goals
- Provide leadership and guidance during program activities
- Create a warm, caring, and safe atmosphere for youth
- Handle activity and room preparations for the program
- Complete required documentation and training on time as mandated by state, contract, or licensing agencies
- Maintain a positive attitude toward youth, coworkers, families, and program partners
- Report problems to the Out of School Coordinator
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automotive insurance
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000 bodily injury liability
- Good driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and office equipment (computers, printers, fax machines, etc.)
- Experience with desktop/laptop computers, internet search, people management programs, smartphones, and tablets
- 21 years of age or older

Physical Demands
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity
- Repetitive motion, prolonged sitting and standing, and sustained mental/visual demands
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying
- Frequent travel and extended periods of driving, varying by program demands
