Description
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Middlesex County is looking for bilingual, Spanish-speaking volunteers to help children in foster care who have experienced abuse or neglect. You do not need to be a native Spanish speaker, but you should be comfortable communicating in both Spanish and English. We offer training and ongoing support to help you succeed in this important role.
Responsibilities
- Spend time with the child
- Talk with people involved in the child’s life—like teachers, doctors, family members, and caregivers
- Share recommendations with the family court to help make the best decisions about the child’s living situation, services, education, and other important needs
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Willing to complete background checks
- Work with their assigned children for at least 18 months, and ideally for the whole case

- With a variety of work, education, and life experiences
