About the role
Retail Bankers are the face of our organization and play a critical role in caring for our customers daily. You will receive training to successfully engage and enhance the customer experience by offering products and services tailored to their needs. The well-rounded knowledge you develop will prepare you for advancement opportunities and a robust banking career at Woodforest.
Responsibilities
- Achieve individual sales by proactively identifying, marketing, and recommending bank products and services beneficial to customers.
- Process transactions, open accounts, and perform account maintenance.
- Handle branch servicing duties such as vault balancing, cash ordering, and maintenance of automated teller machines.
- Employ problem-solving skills to address customer inquiries and concerns in a manner consistent with Woodforest Experience training.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant and transferrable sales and/or customer service experience; OR an Associate’s degree and 1 year of relevant and transferrable sales and/or customer service experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous in-store banking experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be positive, engaging, and fluent in both English and Spanish.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Schedule
Full-time. Little to no overnight travel expected, though occasional coverage of nearby branch locations (up to 45 miles from your assigned branch) may be required based on business needs.
Working Conditions
- Standing for most of the workday, with occasional walking, moving, bending, stooping, or sitting for brief periods.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs.
