Responsibilities
- Offer direct representation, individual consultations, and community outreach and education to immigrant community members seeking immigration protections before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and immigration courts.
- Handle additional immigration matters, including cases involving individuals in immigration detention.
- Conduct intakes and determine potential clients' eligibility for immigration relief (Intake Staff Attorney).
- Offer direct representation, individual consultations, and community outreach and education to immigrant community members seeking immigration protections before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and immigration courts.
- Handle additional immigration matters, including cases involving individuals in immigration detention.
- Offer direct representation, individual consultations, and community outreach and education to immigrant community members seeking immigration protections before immigration courts and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
- Filing motions to reopen with the immigration courts and Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Focus on applications for naturalization and for family-based immigration, including removal defense in the immigration courts.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Spanish, and additional languages are encouraged.
- Able to start the position as soon as possible.
- A minimum two-year commitment to the position.

- Passion for serving immigrants and refugees in need of legal services.
- Experience in immigration law and practice.
- Ability to represent clients in immigration courts and USCIS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle complex legal issues and provide comprehensive legal advice.
