Responsibilities
The Registered Dietitian (RD) will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess the nutritional needs of our patients and improve nutrition equity. This role requires expertise in working with patients with multiple chronic conditions, utilizing the best technology and tools to provide high-quality and equitable nutrition care. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide nutrition counseling rooted in cultural humility and inclusivity to support individualized nutritional care plans.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams and community organizations to address nutrition insecurity and social determinants of health.
- Provide in-clinic, virtual, and home-based individual and group nutrition care.
- Lead culinary medicine classes and develop lifestyle medicine programming.
- Assist in developing culturally relevant care programs to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Provide interdisciplinary education and training on nutrition principles.
- Collaborate to implement nutrition care plans and maintain policies for optimal, cost-effective nutrition care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Licensed Dietitian (LD) in Arizona or eligible within 60 days of hire
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years as a Registered Dietitian (adult geriatrics preferred)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) required
- Experience teaching culinary medicine classes
- Experience in lifestyle medicine initiatives (culinary medicine, food RX, gardening, medically tailored meals) preferred
- Fitness and movement experience preferred
