Bilingual Program Instructor

About the role

Teaches community health promotion programs with a focus on Chronic Disease Programs. Programs are held at various community locations within the Corewell Health service area across Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of program curriculum.
• Implements health promotion programs following proper procedures as outlined in training materials.
• Ensures accurate results/information given to participants.
• Maintains participant and employee safety.
• Maintains accurate record keeping and safeguards equipment, supplies, data, and monies.
• Completes mandatory trainings and self-education modules required by Program Manager.
• Works cooperatively with Program Manager, office staff, community organizations, and other instructors.
• Attends work on schedule and follows proper procedures when canceling a work assignment.
• Develops and maintains a culture of service excellence with internal and external customers, physicians, and volunteers in accordance with Corewell Health values.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Preferred: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to deliver instruction, facilitate group discussions, and communicate effectively in both languages.
• Strong written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Language proficiency may be assessed during the hiring process.
• 2 years of relevant experience teaching in health fields, education fields, Public Health, Community Health.

Qualifications
