About the Role
A Bilingual Clinical Pharmacist provides exceptional care for patients with specialized pharmacy requirements, including assessing clinical data, creating and supervising care plans, communicating with prescribers, and overseeing therapy care specialists in compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee dispensing, pharmacy operations, and pharmacy personnel (technicians and other associates).
- Comply with FDA mandates and manufacturer restrictions.
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, route of administration, potential interactions, high-risk patient considerations, warnings/precautions, adverse reactions, and stability.
- Suggest therapeutic interventions and provide consultation to residents, prescribers, nursing staff, and healthcare representatives.
- Maintain patient medication profiles, including current/past medications, medical history, clinical/laboratory data, and relevant notes.
- Procure and maintain documentation in accordance with federal, state, and AnovoRx policies.
- Dispense pharmaceuticals, including biotech drugs, for patients with rare diseases.
- Provide drug information, counsel patients, and adhere to licensure requirements/regulations.
- Participate in Continuing Quality Improvement programs to ensure compliance with all standards.
- For pharmacovigilance services under manufacturer agreements: participate in training, handle adverse event/product complaint calls, complete submissions to manufacturers, and assist with follow-up.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- Wear identification while on duty and represent the organization professionally.
- Regular and reliable attendance; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Graduate degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- 1+ years of pharmacy experience preferred.
- Current unrestricted license or registration/certification in required state(s).
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and oral); strong communication skills.
- Ability to work any dedicated 8-hour shift between 7am–7pm, Monday–Friday, onsite.
- Willingness to cover on-call rotation as needed.
- Professional demeanor in phone and in-person interactions.
- Comfortable with repetitive motions (e.g., phone use, typing).
- Adept at handling sensitive and confidential situations.
