Bilingual Intake Specialist

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• Bilingual - English and Spanish
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Contact health plans or payers to gather policy benefits/limitations and complete eligibility and benefits verification
• Confirm and ensure the accuracy of data and documents and all communication in computer database
• Respond in a timely manner to all referrals and enter into software database
• Alert appropriate team members regarding late or missing documents required
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients/clients, and all colleagues and therapists
• Work with team, therapists, and patients to identify potential solutions as problems are identified with payer sources
• Maintain the confidentiality of patient/client and agency information at all times
• Gain knowledge of applicable payer guidelines and provide documentation of eligibility, benefits, and authorizations
• Conduct all business activities in a professional and ethical manner
