About the role
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and people-focused Bilingual HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role is ideal for an HR professional with 2–3+ years of experience supporting warehouse or distribution center operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The HR Coordinator will serve as a key resource for employees and managers by supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and day-to-day HR operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for warehouse employees and supervisors.
- Support full-cycle hourly recruiting, including posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, extending offers, and coordinating pre-employment requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding for warehouse employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while ensuring confidentiality.
- Process new hires, employee changes, promotions, transfers, and separations.
- Assist with employee relations by responding to employee questions, resolving workplace concerns, and escalating issues when appropriate.
- Translate HR communications, policies, presentations, and conversations between English and Spanish as needed.
- Partner with warehouse leadership to ensure staffing needs are met while maintaining a positive employee experience.
- Track attendance, leaves of absence, and other employee documentation.
- Support benefits enrollment, open enrollment, workers' compensation administration, and leave management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations and I-9 verification.
- Conduct employment verification, background checks, and maintain onboarding documentation.
- Assist with performance management processes, employee recognition initiatives, and engagement activities.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain recruiting, turnover, and workforce metrics.
- Participate in employee events, safety meetings, and HR initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Support audits and maintain accurate HR documentation in accordance with company policies.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably supporting a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Fluent in English and Spanish with the ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Experience recruiting hourly warehouse employees.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
