Bilingual (German/English) Bookkeeper/Accountant

We are seeking a German-speaking Bookkeeper/Accountant for our Business Processing Outsourcing Department in our Denver, CO office. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to work within deadlines, and the capacity to execute multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation to clients, their parent companies, and stakeholders on accounting, business administration, and taxation needs.
  • Take ownership of assigned client engagements, anticipate issues, and develop plans to complete engagements within budget.
  • Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Prepare various sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, and other required forms.
  • Process payroll.
  • Ensure timely completion and communication of project status internally.
  • Research technical issues and discuss with Manager/Partner for further guidance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • German language skills (native or fully professional proficiency).
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or higher, or equivalent German qualification (Steuerfachangestellte(r)).
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, including preparing financial statements and client communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online (desired).
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 and SAP (a plus).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and independently within an established framework.
  • Strong knowledge of US-GAAP; knowledge of HGB is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the US tax system.
  • Team player with a willingness to contribute to the success of a highly motivated professional team.
  • High-level client-service orientation, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
  • Ability to understand challenges facing partners and staff and manage/reschedule priorities effectively.
  • Superior organizational skills, including process development and follow-through.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $65,000–$80,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
