Key responsibilities
- Warmly answer incoming calls, ensuring every interaction is friendly and professional.
- Facilitate patient intake and promptly notify staff of their arrival.
- Accurately input patient information into Legacy’s databases.
- Support volunteer coordination tasks in collaboration with the volunteer coordinator.
- Follow established protocols for appointments and cash handling.
- Perform opening and closing procedures to maintain smooth clinic operations.
- Ensure the clinic lobby is welcoming and organized for patients and visitors.
- Process lab results as directed by the Practice Manager.
- Participate in the Performance Improvement Program to elevate patient care standards.
- Demonstrate respect and empathy toward patients, families, visitors, and fellow team members.
- Collaborate with your team to meet departmental goals and objectives.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including attending mandatory training sessions.
- Maintain your work area and equipment in alignment with Legacy’s standards.
- Ensure patient environments and equipment meet safety requirements, reporting concerns promptly.
- Follow Legacy’s exposure control plans and use protective barrier equipment as needed.
- Participate in annual education programs to stay informed and compliant with policies.
- Take on additional tasks as needed to support the clinic’s success.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone voice
- Ability to multi-task and handle many incoming calls or patients at once
- Efficient and accurate data-entry skills
- Computer literacy and multi-line phone or switchboard experience.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
