Bilingual (English/Spanish) Child Development Classroom Assistant II - Western Slope
About the role
The El Dorado County Office of Education accepts applications for Classroom Assistant II with our Child Development Program on a year-round basis, with no application deadline. This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. This list will be used for current and future openings.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates and applies fundamental knowledge of child development to facilitate daily activities and experiences for children that support school readiness following federal, state and COE guidelines.
- Under the direction of the Head Start teacher, this position includes a 5% bilingual pay differential.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma and Associate Teacher Permit or Associate of Arts degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field. Must meet Title 22 licensing standards.
- Experience: Previous successful experience in Early Care and Education Programs within the last three years preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Benefits
Initial salary placement is on the first step of range. A 5% bilingual stipend will be added to base pay. Length of Work Year: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 10 months per year.
