Bilingual Clinical Therapist Team 1C $5,000 retention bonus

This position is eligible for a $5,000 retention bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, case management, client education, referral, treatment planning, and consultation for clients in the program.
• Perform a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of assigned consumers.
• Treat consumers with respect and maintain a calm, professional manner during crisis or emergency situations.
• Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM IV) and perform and record mental status examinations.
• Assess clinical emergencies, including suicide and danger to others.
• Collect pertinent data from appropriate collateral sources in accordance with confidentiality guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Center policy and legal requirements.
• Develop and present, verbally and in writing, a clear clinical formulation based on behavioral data and relevant theory while incorporating psychosocial and family issues.
• Use psychiatric consultation and intervention when clinically appropriate.
• Determine appropriate levels of care and refer to various points in the continuum of care.
• Provide individual, group, and family mental health and/or substance abuse therapy.
• Develop and implement a plan of care with ongoing consumer input.
• Apply knowledge of psychopathology and primary methodologies of psychotherapy.
• Identify specific therapeutic interventions appropriate for specific problems and provide brief psychotherapy if appropriate.
• Provide group therapy.
• Collaborate with other providers, agencies, and individuals in the consumers' network of care.
• Maintain knowledge and familiarity of mental health, substance abuse, and related community agencies.
• Communicate with various local agencies and individuals, as well as with Center staff.
• Perform record keeping in accordance with Health Information Services and other Center requirements:
  • Complete daily activity logs.
  • Complete initial assessment forms and progress notes with appropriate format.
  • Develop and implement a plan of care with ongoing consumer input.
  • Complete a clear, specific, behaviorally oriented treatment plan as required with consumer signature.
  • Complete insurance documentation as required.
  • Complete required reports and evaluations.
  • Follow required office procedures in a cooperative manner.
• Attend trainings, case presentations, and conferences.
• Provide feedback to staff on the content of educational programs attended.
• Participate in the education of other Center staff.
• Attend mandatory in-service trainings and other trainings required for renewal of licensure.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with Center staff, consumers, community agencies, and the public.
• Communicate with various local agencies and other departments or teams at The Center.
• Work in cooperation with co-workers and supervisory staff.
• Deal with team members regarding problems in a constructive manner and benefit from constructive criticism.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field and clinical experience.
• LICSW, LCDP, and/or LMHC preferred; LICSW strongly preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) required.
• Insured auto and valid driver's license.
