About the role
A Late Night Youth Care Worker provides shelter, security, direct supervision, and support and direction for residential clients during overnight hours. The position also entails various duties including documentation of client activity, completion of individualized paperwork and specific responsibilities related to management and upkeep within residential houses.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate supervision and guidance to children and adolescents.
- Maintain a strong commitment to the safety of youth, remaining attentive and responsive to all ongoing concerns and developments.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of paid experience working with children.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency—reading, writing, and speaking.
- Some college coursework preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
Qualifications
- Must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and Child Abuse History Clearance (processed by KidsPeace).
- Must pass a physical and drug screening (covered by KidsPeace).
- Must complete all KidsPeace-sponsored training.
- Candidates who are hired will be required to successfully pass the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) required suitability background check.

Pay
$17.60–$20.50 per hour, based on education and experience.
Schedule
Full Time and Part Time. Shifts available: Overnight: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am. Weekends required: 2 consecutive days off during the week (set schedule).
