Bilingual Brand Ambassador

About the role

The Field Marketing Associate with The Restaurant Store is responsible for communicating the advantages of shopping with TRS in a clean and concise manner across the local market area, while consistently portraying a positive representation of their local branch. The associate will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective field marketing and indirect sales strategies that align with the goals of our sales and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with TRS customer base, including food service business operators and owners
• Navigate company software and technology to support customer needs and position requirements
• Plan efficient travel routes to meet with local business customers on a recurring basis
• Increase local branch sales by converting new prospects into active customers and re-engaging inactive and lapsed customers into regular purchasers with TRS
• Communicate pertinent information to the sales team at the local branch through established communication methods
• Communicate customer buying trends and competitor information to the local store by providing relevant competitor invoices
• Develop and maintain knowledge of available products

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or field marketing/sales
• Experience using MS Office Suite to maintain business-to-business relationships
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change
• Ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence

Previous experience in the restaurant industry is a plus.
