About the role

We are seeking a full-time Bilingual Bookkeeper to serve churches and ministries. The ideal candidate must live in Georgia, Florida, or Tennessee and must read, write, and speak Spanish fluently. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and experience as a Bilingual Bookkeeper with 2 years of bookkeeping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Clock in and out through the Slack channel daily and accurately answer the questions provided in the workflow.
  • Utilize Clockify daily to account for time worked on each account throughout the day using the appropriate tags.
  • Understand and adhere to the bookkeeping workflow.
  • Update the admin console to the complete extent that is trained on and explained in the BK workflow.
  • Maintain and update all admin console account information as information is received (e.g., reminders list, BK contact information, root, month and term notes, Quickbooks, etc).
  • Onboard a client and master the steps to engage a client in the service.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of accounting principles and apply them to generate factual and accurate reports to our clients.
  • Manage a workload of 30-40 clients or 160-170 BPH, maintaining that workload and managing deliverables.
  • Submit renewal information accurately and on time.
  • Generate the reports needed for each client on time and deliver them to the client.
  • Mitigate cancellations and bookkeeping service failures. More than two service failure cancellations in a 6-month period will result in a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Qualifications

  • Xero-software experience preferred.
  • QuickBooks experience - certification preferred.
  • Cash basis accounting experience preferred.
  • Ability to answer the phone when supporting the care team.
  • Reporting all time off requests in the Slack channel and having all time off approved prior to taking the time.
  • Knowing your time off allowances and communicating adjustments as needed.
  • Communicating effectively with clients to encourage a strong relationship and receive necessary information to complete reports.
  • Following through on work-related tasks and requests made by team leaders, Directors, and VP.
  • Maintaining your email inbox and replying to all emails and voicemails within 24 hours.
  • Maintaining a dependable schedule and working the hours you are scheduled.
  • Maintaining a 65% report completion rate within 7 business days and an 85% report completion rate within 14 business days for clients assigned to you as a bookkeeper.
  • Maintaining a 100% report completion rate by the last day of the month, ensuring clients receive either a partial report, a completed report, or are in an ineligible status, approved by a Director.
  • Maintaining regular touch points with clients, calling them biweekly if they have 3 or more months of ineligible or partial reports and every 60 days.
  • Maintaining a report error rate of less than 12% on a monthly basis.
