What You'll Do

  • Bring bikes in, engage with customers, and create a positive first impression
  • Effectively manage the service writing process to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Schedule and prioritize work orders to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • SOURCE AND ORDER PARTS ACCORDING TO OUR SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES
  • PROCESS WARRANTIES AND COMMUNICATE WITH CUSTOMERS ABOUT WEAR AND TEAR ISSUES
  • DELEGATE WORK ORDERS TO MECHANICS, ENSURING THE RIGHT PERSON IS WORKING ON THE RIGHT BIKE AT THE RIGHT TIME
  • Maintain a clean and organized service department, adhering to company standards
  • COMMUNICATE SERVICE DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO THE STORE MANAGER WHEN WRITING THE SCHEDULE
  • MONITOR AND TRACK KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS WITHIN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT

Requirements

  • Two+ years of bike mechanic experience
  • Excellent reliability & punctuality - a proven track record of being on time every day is essential.
  • Strong communication skills - clear, concise, and empathetic communication is critical in this role.
  • Ability to maintain focus and concentration for extended periods - 8 hours of standing, on your feet, day in and day out.
  • Lift 50 pounds head high safely and efficiently.
  • Enthusiasm for bicycles - a true passion is an asset in this role.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with inventory management systems and bike-related software
  • Familiarity with brake and gear adjustment procedures
  • Basic bike maintenance and repair skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
