BI Engineering, Manager

For our client, we are seeking a BI Engineering, Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will guide a business intelligence engineering function that supports accurate, timely reporting and decision-making across the organization. You will lead a team responsible for building and maintaining the data models, dashboards, and delivery processes that power self-service analytics. The position partners closely with data engineering, business stakeholders, and leadership to strengthen data availability, governance, and operational reliability. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $135,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the BI engineering team in designing and implementing BI systems Establish SLAs for data availability and accuracy Produce and maintain data visualizations using BI tools Conduct discovery based on business requirements and user testing Collaborate with data engineering to connect external data sources Design and implement complex SQL models for BI dashboard support Automate dbt/SQL models using ETL orchestration tools Ensure smooth code deployment using CI/CD tools Provide code review feedback on GitHub pull requests Mentor team members and collaborate with stakeholders on data requirements Contribute to data strategy and governance initiatives Manage projects using Agile methodologies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field Five years of experience in roles such as Marketing Analyst, BI Engineer, or a similar capacity Two years of experience in a managerial or team lead role in BI engineering or data warehousing Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or Databricks Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau Benefits Work from home benefit provided Fully remote position with unanticipated worksites Travel to headquarters required quarterly for five business days Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
