Responsibilities
- Design and develop BI reporting and data platforms.
- Create user-facing data visualization and presentation tools, including SSRS reports, Power BI dashboards, MicroStrategy, and Excel PivotTables.
- Support data retrieval and management for Evolent Health.
- Ensure BI data assets align with organizational strategic goals.
- Implement effective business analytics practices to enhance decision-making, efficiency, and performance.
- Aid in technology improvements to continuously enhance the core BI platform.
- Perform complex data analysis using advanced SQL skills and Excel.
- Communicate with non-technical business users to gather specific requirements for reports and BI solutions.
- Maintain and support existing BI applications and reports.
- Present work when requested and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions with team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in BI/Data Warehouse domain developing BI solutions and data analysis tasks using MSBI suites.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI: building reports, dashboards, DAX, and Power Query (M).
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouses, Dataflows Gen2, Direct Lake capabilities, and PowerAutomate.
- Experience with Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Knowledge of Advanced SQL for data manipulation and performance tuning.
- Experience implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with healthcare industry, particularly with authorizations, claims, eligibility, and patient clinical data.
- Experience with Python, Spark, or Databricks for data engineering or transformation is preferred.
- Familiarity with DevOps/GitRepo for BI, including deployment.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $90,000 - 100,000.
