About the role
The Head Track Coach position at Baker High School for the 2026-2027 school year is available. Salary is commensurate with placement on the Extra Duty Salary Schedule, ranging from $5,876 to $7,040 for the school year. Placement on the salary schedule is contingent upon prior paid school district experience as a Track Coach.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive track and field program.
- Train and motivate student athletes to achieve personal bests and compete at a high level.
- Manage team logistics including scheduling meets, managing equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other coaches and administrators to enhance athletic programs.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding athletics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field.
- Minimum of five years of successful coaching experience at the high school level.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for practices and competitions.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching track and field events.
- Previous experience working with diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
