BHC Stores/Warehouse Assistant

About the role

This position will be located at Bellefontaine Habilitation Center in the Food Distribution Center (FDC), 10695 Bellefontaine Rd., Saint Louis, MO 63137. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Saturday/Sunday off. This position requires working on holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, assembling, portioning, labeling, storing and delivering food in correct amounts to homes and program areas on our campus based on our daily menu.
• Maintaining inventory under the supervision of the Storekeeper.
• Maintaining the diet census report, menus, and preparing labels under the supervision of the Dietitian.
• Cleaning refrigerators, freezers, shelving, countertops; sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes.
• Lifting and transferring items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Standing and working continuously for extended periods.
• Working outdoors in all types of weather.

Requirements

• Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
• Exemplary customer service skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items.
• Previous Food Distribution Experience is preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
