PeaceHealth is seeking a licensed Behavioral Health Clinician for a part-time, 0.60 FTE, variable position in Vancouver, WA. The salary range is $42.06 – $69.41, with the hiring rate dependent on education, training, work experience, and other factors.

About the Role

Coordinates and oversees the plan of care and service delivery for behavioral health consumers across the continuum of illness. Promotes effective utilization and monitoring of health care resources and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Provides services to consumers with commercial insurance and Medicaid.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, family, group, and multi-family group therapy to patients with complex diagnostic presentations and treatment needs.
  • Provides clinical leadership to a team of master’s and bachelor’s level clinicians and student interns.
  • Assesses, develops, implements, and monitors a comprehensive plan of care through an interdisciplinary team process in conjunction with the patient and their self-identified natural supports.
  • Evaluates and provides interventions to improve a patient’s cognitive, social, vocational, spiritual, and emotional functioning, utilizing natural and community supports when possible.
  • Provides urgent/crisis evaluations, interventions, and safety planning.
  • Identifies key problems, strengths, and resources with the consumer and natural supports to address in the treatment plan.
  • May provide case management, coordination with other treatment agencies or outside support services, outreach, and engagement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health.
  • Experience in diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex mental health conditions.
  • Licensed as one of the following in Washington upon hire:
    • Independent Clinical Social Worker, or
    • Mental Health Counselor, or
    • Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency with DSM-5 diagnoses and best-practice treatment interventions for behavioral health conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to obtain and interpret patient information appropriate to age and treatment needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and a patient/family-centered work environment.
  • Knowledge and adherence to ethical guidelines for behavioral health clinical practice.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record documentation.
  • Effective prioritization skills.

Preferred: Experience providing clinical supervision to bachelor’s and master’s level clinicians.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to move around the area with occasional sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, or pulling.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 5 lbs.
  • Exposure to biohazards, body fluids, and airborne particles in a medical/hospital or office environment.
  • Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
