About the role
The position requires constant observation of patients deemed at risk and performing various care-related tasks as per patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain constant observation of patient.
- Document the care of the patient under observation.
- Inform the nurse of any changes in the patient's condition.
- Absorb and relay detailed handoff information to/from staff regarding the patient and their status.
- Assist the patient in the event of a fall.
- Assist with feeding the patient as directed by the RN.
Requirements
- Some healthcare experience, 0-1 year preferred.
- Ability to remain alert for extended periods of time.
- Ability to verbally calm patients.
- Ability to perform calmly and quickly in stressful situations.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- No experience in lieu of a degree accepted.
