About the course
The BFI Film Academy Short Courses are designed to help ambitious 16- to 19-year-olds break into the film industry by developing talent and nurturing an interest in film and the filmmaking process. This high-quality course covers the fundamentals of filmmaking, including screenwriting, cinematography, sound, directing, production, and editing.
Participants will create short films, learn from industry professionals through masterclasses, and gain commercial and cultural knowledge to start a career in the screen industries. Upon completion, you will earn the BFI/Screen Skills NCFE Preparing to Work in the Film Industry level 5 equivalent qualification, supporting your professional development for further study or entering the workplace.
