Position Summary
Responsibilities
- Maintains a clean, safe, fun, and friendly environment for guests and employees.
- Provides superior guest service, interacts positively with guests and employees, and deals with difficult guests.
- Works effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
- Takes drink orders, enters orders, serves drinks, collects payment, and keeps well and self-serve areas clean and well maintained.
- Safely distributes alcohol, follows company alcohol awareness guidelines, and follows sound cash handling practices.
- Ensures the safety and security of employees and customers.
- Has knowledge of patron limitations of alcohol consumption and company policy and procedure regarding serving alcohol responsibly.
- Assists guests with all reasonable requests.
- Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.
Essential Functions
- Uses all equipment associated with the position, including computer keyboard, telephone, use of all bar equipment, Micros, cash register, and Easy Bar System.
- Works in a casino environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, smoke, and bright lights.
- Efficiently maneuvers on the Casino floor, around equipment, and guests, while balancing a tray of drinks.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire shift (except for designated breaks).
- May include working on a boat, floating barge, or a High-rise hotel.
- Walking 80%, Standing 10%, Bending/Lifting 10% (up to 50 lbs).
- Be available to work on time as scheduled on a regular basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Act as a customer experience owner, act in ways that will surprise and delight guests, and leave them with positive feelings about the property.
- Handle situations that may arise due to intoxication of guests.
- Communicate with all departments and fellow employees.
- Able to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
- Must complete and follow alcohol awareness training and guidelines.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Six months experience in cocktail serving is preferred.
- Able to obtain a gaming license.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
